My name is Jessica Bannasch.  My husband and I just completed our first move with the miliary and wanted to let you know how pleased we were with our experience.

Our movers were Marcus, Barry Knight, and Scott, and their supervisor is Charlie Layson.  They packed our household good shipment for an overseas move to Heidleberg, Germany from our apartment in Atlanta, GA on Wednesday, August 5th.  Before our movers arrived, we had read and heard all sorts of horror stories from friends about things to make sure your movers do and disasters that had happened to them… so I felt like even though it was our first military move we knew what to look for.

Well, Marcus, Barry & Scott were really great.  Everything on my “make sure your movers do this” checklist was done, without me asking even once!  I was really floored with how carefully they handled our things.  I was especially impressed when I watched them carry out large dishpacks on their backs all the way down my stairwell instead of using a dolly.  Marcus did a fantastic job wrapping up all our furniture and loose items… It’s a good thing that even the plunger is safe now, with its brown paper packaging!

Would you please make sure this email gets to our movers’ supervisor, Charlie Layson?  We really wanted you all to know what a wonderful job they did and thank you for such a positive moving experience.  They have set the bar for our future movers very high!

It was good to see you last week during our relocation. Thanks for taking the time to come to Rome and make sure everything was going well for us. Below is an email I sent to Tom Tison of Daniel Movers. They were outstanding in every way and I want you to know how pleased I am that GSA contracted with this company. Tom was right on the ball with everything that needed to be done. In addition, the day that packing materials were to be delivered to the office, the driver was involved in an accident and the delivery was delayed. A representative of Daniel contacted me as soon as it was apparent that the delivery would be delayed and arranged for an alternate delivery. They were right on schedule. And the person delivering the packing materials was exceptionally courteous and helpful. The move itself went very smoothly. The movers did an outstanding job in every way and we couldn’t be more pleased. I highly commend them and strongly suggest that we continue to contract with Daniel in the future. They are great.

I want to thank you and everyone at Daniel Movers for the great job you did in relocating the Rome Social Security Office on March 20. We anticipated beforehand that the actual move day would be somewhat chaotic for us as we would have “one foot in the new space and one foot in the old space.” However, the crew from Daniel made the transition very smooth and easy. The professionalism, efficiency, courtesy, and overall manner in which the job was performed was exceptional. The interaction of the members of the moving crew with my staff was notably good. They were responsive to our requests when we had questions/concerns and sensitive to special situations. In one situation where some fragile items needed to be moved, they explained the packing, moving, and unloading process so that we had no concerns that the items would be delivered safe and sound. And everything turned out exactly as they said it would. Indeed, several employees on my staff commented on the outstanding job the movers did, and some of those folks are not easily impressed.

Again, BRAVO to all of you and thanks for making our relocation as pleasant and painless as possible. I would highly recommend you for future relocations with SSA.
